Physical Fitness Requirements

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a physically demanding pilgrimage at high altitudes. Adequate fitness preparation is essential for a safe and successful journey.

  • Moderate to high fitness level required — regular cardio training recommended 3 months prior.
  • Medical clearance from a certified physician is mandatory before departure.
  • Participants with heart or respiratory conditions must consult their doctor.
  • Age limit: 18–70 years. Special evaluation for those above 60.

Packing Checklist

Packing the right gear is crucial for the Kailash Yatra.

  • Thermal innerwear, fleece jacket, and waterproof outer shell jacket.
  • Sturdy trekking boots with ankle support and woollen socks.

  • Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol at high altitude.

Visa & Permit Information

  • China Group Visa (Tibet Travel Permit) — arranged through our agency.
  • Nepal Visa — obtainable on arrival at Kathmandu airport.
  • Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) Permit — mandatory.
  • Valid passport with minimum 6 months validity beyond travel dates.

Travel Insurance Details
